A future back in Austria for Peter Schneider?

The contract of Peter Schneider with EHC Biel is nearing its end, as the Seeländers signed him to a one-year deal back in May 2019 after a great season with the Vienna Capitals. It is not known where the 28-year-old will end up, but Salzburg is a possibility.
In fact, already in December head coach Matt McIlvane (reported by the newspaper) stated: "We'd be fools not to be interested in a player like that". Concerning EHCB, for the next season, the team has only one import under contract at the moment, namely Toni Rajala.
In 36 regular-season games with EHC Biel, Schneider scored eleven goals and recorded eleven assists. Moreover, he scored six goals in the Champions Hockey League and added three more points in the Swiss Cup.
