Johan Ryno to join the Bianconeri?

After almost five years with Färjestad BK and despite a valid contract until the end of the season, Johan Ryno is supposedly ready to join a Swiss club. Only two years ago, the 33-year-old had recorded 46 points in 46 games in the SHL. This season, however, Ryno ended up down the center hierarchy in the lineup, recording 15 points (four goals) in 30 games, and causing him to look for other options.

Contacted by Aftonbladet, Ryno's agent only confirmed that he is not traveling to Stockholm with the rest of the team for tonight's game against Djurgården. Also Färjestad BK's announcement later today did not reveal the player's new employer in Switzerland. According to Expressen's Johan Svensson, however, it might be HC Lugano.

With the exception of a short stint in the AHL with the Grand Rapids Griffins in 2007-08, Ryno has always played in Sweden, recording 234 points in 380 SHL games, mainly with Leksands IF and Färjestad BK.
