National League

While the Finn has a deal with HC Davos in place until spring, it looks like he might end the season in Sweden.

Otso Rantakari on the move?

According to SportExpressen, Otso Rantakari and Örebro HK have verbally agreed to terms. However, team manager Niklas Johansson was not willing to comment on the information obtained by the Swedish newspaper.

As Expressen's Johan Svensson writes, with the return of Magnus Nygren, HC Davos no longer needs an import defenseman and is looking to replace him with a forward before the transfer deadline. However, it bears to be mentioned that Rantakari was signed to an extension of his contract after Nygren returned to the lineup.

Rantakari quickly adapted to the play in Switzerland, having recorded eight goals and twelve assists in 26 games for HC Davos. He is the eighth-most productive defender of the National League or if one looks at points per game, even the fifth-most productive.
