The 19-year-old has decided to terminate his contract with the QMJHL's Shawinigan Cataractes and rejoin his youth team.

Back with Biel: Valentin Nussbaumer

EHC Biel has announced that Valentin Nussbaumer will join them until the end of the season. They also put a contract in place for the next season that does not contain an out clause for North America, Martin Steinegger tells the Journal du Jura.

The youngster left the Seelanders in 2018 to play in the Shawinigan Cataractes, a QMJHL-team. After one and a half seasons with them, he has now terminated his contract and will return to Switzerland.

Before leaving for Canada, Nussbaumer made 27 games with Biel, recording five goals and one assist. In the QMJHL, he scored 25 goals and 42 assists throughout 95 games. The forward was also part of the Swiss U20 national team for the last three World Junior Championships.
