According to Zentralplus, the Czech forward will soon sign a new contract with the Bulls.

Jan Kovář is looking to extend his stay in Zug.
EV Zug

As Reto Kläy, team manager of EV Zug, tells Zentralplus, he feels that Jan Kovář would like to stay: "He likes it here with us, and we are very happy with him and his performance". The newspaper speculates that the extension will be finalized in the coming days. So far, the 29-year-old has recorded 40 points in 45 games this season.

As for the current season, Kläy would like to acquire a fifth import-player, the same source reports. If the addition will be in the defense or in the offense department depends on wether the three injured defensemen (Raphael Diaz, Livio Stadler and Jesse Zgraggen) will recover shortly from their injuries. Therefore, if all the defenders get fit, and Tobias Geisser will not be recalled by the Washington Capitals, EV Zug will sign a forward. The deadline for acquiring foreign players is set on February 15.
