Laurent Strawson, president of Genève-Servette HC, worries that the league will not be happy about the progress of Geneva's stadium project plans. He mentions Thierry Apothéloz (member of Geneva's Council of State) bringing up 2028 as a possible date for the new arena and that nine more years of waiting might cause some issues with the league.
For now, the president will be awaiting the league's statement. The further procedure is scheduled to be discussed at meetings of Swiss Ice Hockey's infrastructure committee and the approval commission in January.
