It is team manager Alex Chatelain's goal to present a new goaltender to SC Bern's fans this weekend.

The PostFinance Arena will soon have a new goaltender

Blick already reported that the Bears are looking to add another goaltender to their team. This has now become more concrete, as Chatelain tells the Berner Zeitung.

While Cory Schneider (currently in the AHL) , Joey Daccord (not enough experience), Lars Johansson, and Magnus Hellberg (both too expensive) are not options for the Bears, Jhonas Enroth would have been.

However, the team of Enroth, Dinamo Minsk, did not agree to the deal and thus he will not suit up for the Bears. However, according to HeShootsHeScoores, it looks like Tomi Karhunen, who has an out clause in his contract with the Lahti Pelicans, might be SC Bern's new netminder. Reto Kirchhofer of the Berner Zeitung also writes that there are rumblings that they are in talks.

Karhunen already played in Switzerland, albeit only three games for HC Ambrì-Piotta. This season, he has posted a .907 save percentage in 17 games.
