"We'll try everything that helps us in the short term," SC Bern team manager Alex Chatelain tells Blick.

Will there soon be a new face in the PostFinance Arena?

A short-term solution seems to be to add another goaltender to the roster if possible. According to Blick, Cory Schneider and Joey Daccord, who both have Swiss passports, are, among others, "also an option".

However, while Cory Schneider has recently been sent down to the AHL by the New Jersey Devils, the goaltender has still a valid contract with the NHL team until 2022. Joey Daccord's entry-level deal with the Ottawa Senators runs through the current season. He is currently suiting up for their ECHL affiliate, the Brampton Beast.

SC Bern's first half of the season has been less than stellar. They are currently sitting in tenth place and have won only eight of 23 games. This week, they will face HC Davos and Genève-Servette HC in the championship.
