SC Bern has signed the Swede to a three-year extension that will keep him in Bern until 2023.

The new deal of Calle Andersson with SC Bern includes an out-clause for the KHL for the upcoming season. The 25-year-old arrived in Bern during the 2016-17 season from the Hartford Wolf Pack in the AHL. With the Bears, the defenseman won the Swiss championship twice, in 2017 and in 2019. Previously, during the 2014-15 season, he played also in Zug and in Lugano.

This season, Andersson, who holds a Swiss players' license, scored four goals and put up five assists. On average he spends 19:41 minutes on the ice per game. Moreover, he is second in the team for shots on goal per game, with 2.62. Overall, in 238 National League games he collected 105 points.
