Jeff Tomlinson to undergo surgery
The head coach of the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers has been dealing with a kidney issue for several years now. He had to undergo daily dialysis. Jeff Tomlinson's brother Darryl is compatible with him and will provide one of his two healthy kidneys for this transplant.
They will do the procedure in the following days. If all goes well, Tomlinson should be back on the bench on November 16 for the game against HC Fribourg-Gottéron. Until then, Niklas Gällsted will take over his tasks, Sven Berger will serve as an assistant coach.
