Ryan Spooner is expected to arrive in Lugano in the first week of August. HC Lugano's team manager Hnat Domenichelli is looking forward to seeing the Canadian suit up in black and white: "Ryan is a fast and offensive-minded center," he explains. "He is in the best years of his career, he is 27 years old, and for this reason we are very happy to welcome him in Lugano."
Over the course of his career, Ryan Spooner appeared in a total of 329 NHL games, in which he put up 169 points (48 goals). Last season, he suited up for the New York Rangers before he was traded to the Edmonton Oilers and then to the Vancouver Canucks. In 52 games for the three teams, he recorded nine points (three goals).
