According to La Regione, the 33-year-old Czech forward is apparently close to signing with the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers.

Roman Červenka off to Rapperswil?

Červenka's contract with the ZSC Lions, who he joined on a one-year deal from Fribourg last summer, has officially expired. The Tages-Anzeiger already reported at the beginning of March that the Czech is unlikely to have a future in Zurich.

This past season, Červenka suited up in only 26 games for the Lions, recording six goals and 18 assists. It was a lung embolism that kept him away from the ice rink for about three months. He also had to throw in the towel for the Worlds due to medical reasons.
