The forward's new contract with the Bears (valid until 2021) includes an NHL out clause.

Gaëtan Haas' agent Jaro Tuma confirmed to Klaus Zaugg (Watson) that his client had indeed received an offer from an NHL team but that he was not allowed to say more at the time.

Zaugg further writes that Haas will accept the offer of the yet to be disclosed team. The 27-year-old forward has not made a secret out of the fact that he would like to try his luck in North America. One of the reasons he prematurely extended his contract with the Bears was so that he could get an NHL out clause into his contract. His old deal did not include one.

Gaëtan Haas just finished his second season with SC Bern. In 50 regular season games, he recorded 15 goals and 23 assists. He also put up four goals and three assists in the nine playoff games he played.
