The Swede has an out-clause in his three-year contract with the SHL team and he might make use of it.

According to hockeysverige.se, Mattias Tedenby is able to get out of his contract until May 15. Apparently, he has been offered a deal from HC Davos and would be interested in playing hockey in Switzerland.

If the 29-year-old forward were to sign with Davos, they would have four import players under contract - Magnus Nygren, Perttu Lindgren and Aaron Palushaj being the other three players.

Tedenby played most of his career for HV71. He did spend four seasons in North America, though. Drafted in the first round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, he suited up in 120 NHL games for the New Jersey Devils and in 126 AHL games for the Albany Devils. In 2014, he returned to Sweden and has been playing for HV71 ever since.
