The Swede joins the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers from the Grizzlys Wolfsburg, where he was assistant for one season. Before his time in the DEL, the 52-year-old was part of EHC Kloten's coaching staff for three years.
"Niklas Gällstedt has been active as a coach for years. The pleasant Swede possesses high expertise and is an excellent trainer, able to improve every player. He perfectly fits our philosophy and will be an asset on every level of coaching in our organization", the Lakers' team manager Janick Steinmann comments on the new assistant.
