EHC Biel's team manager Martin Steinegger is convinced that Schneider will also be able to make an impact in the National League: "Peter has constantly evolved and is ready to face the next challenge." EHCB's head scout Thomas Roost says that "his shot quality is above average, he plays with a lot of energy and (...) his performances are constantly at a good level."

About three weeks ago, the Swedish journalist Johan Svensson (Expressen) already reported that the new team of Peter Schneider will be EHC Biel, but as the Vienna Capitals were still active in the playoffs, a confirmation was not to be expected back then.

This past season, Peter Schneider has appeared in 54 regular season games for the EBEL's Vienna Capitals, in which he put up a total of 69 points (35 goals). In the playoffs, Schneider suited up 18 times and recorded another twelve points (five goals).
