National League

The Swede, whose contract is expired, is currently looking for a new team for the 2019-20 season.

National League is an option for Gynge

"I would be happy to play for another year in KHL. Besides that, it is the SHL and Switzerland that are alternatives and there is no ranking them. Both options are interesting," Gynge tells hockeynews.se.

Gynge missed almost the entire 2018-19 season due to a knee injury he suffered back in September 2018. Given that and his age, he is not sure how many opportunities will be presented to him, but he is "very open [to everything]."

It is not the first time the 32-year-old forward has shown interest in the National League. Back in 2015, before he had signed with the Växjö Lakers, he put the word out there that he would consider Switzerland as an option.

In eleven games for Traktor Chelyabinsk, he recorded two goals and three assists. He has been playing in the KHL since 2016, when he joined Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk from the Växjö Lakers.
