Reto Berra has one year left on his contract, which also contains an option for two more years to be activated before Christmas.

Reto Berra "feels great" in Fribourg.

Although the goalkeeper still has one year on his contract, Christian Dubé, team manager of HC Fribourg-Gottéron, wants to discuss an extension already at the end of this season. As Berra declares to La Liberté, "it would be a great option to remain in Fribourg". Moreover, the 32-year-old reveals that, for the moment, he has not received any offer from other clubs.

In the meantime, Ludovic Waeber, the backup goalkeeper, will continue to play in the Ranking Round. "This ranking round should allow Ludo to show what he's got. This is important, because a difficult choice could come next season" says Dubé. In fact, because of the difficult season, the 22-year-old, who also has one year left on his contract, did not play as much as Dubé would have liked. Nonetheless, the team manager excludes the possibility of loaning Waeber to an other team the next season.

Berra is in his first season with the Dragons and recorded a save percentage of 92.01 in 45 games, while Waeber, who grew up in Fribourg, posted a 90.62 save percentage in 5 games.
