This would mark the return of the 26-year-old forward to the team which developed him. Berthon left GSHC's organization in 2014 to play for EHC Biel. In 2016, he then joined HC Ambrì-Piotta. In 54 games for the Biancoblù this past season, he recorded three goals and ten assists.
