Lofquist, 27, played last season in the KHL with Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod. In 44 games, he recorded four goals and ten assists. Prior to that, Lofquist suited up in Finland for SaiPa and in Sweden.
"His strength is his very hard shot," team manager Steinegger says. "He shoots right which gives us new varieties in the power play." The defender will join the team already today. However, it is not yet clear when he will give his debut for Biel.
