Medical Report

The players of Genève-Servette HC are back on the ice. At their first on-ice practice this morning, however, two forwards were missing: the American Jim Slater, as well as Arnaud Jacquemet.

"Jim Slater had to undergo foot surgery and won't be ready before the last week of August. But we are convinced he will be able to keep his spot for the season opener on September 9 in Fribourg," GSHC's coach Chris McSorley explains. "As for Arnaud Jacquemet, he's suffering from back pain, which is being followed closely by our team doctor Jacques Menetrey."

In other news, McSorley confirms that Auguste Impose is currently part of the team in order to prepare for the upcoming season. The future of the 19-year-old forward, however, is still unclear.

Furthermore, the club is looking for a replacement for American forward Nathan Gerbe, after the contract agreement with the player has been automatically dissolved following his signing with the New York Rangers at the beginning of July. (rlu)
