Nico Hischier was skating on his own last week but joined the team for practice today. There is, however, no definite timeline for his return to the lineup yet. Hischier has been out since the end of October.
Fellow Swiss forward Timo Meier, on the other hand, was not practicing with the team today. He is not expected to join the Devils for their road trip to Detroit. While he has not been back on his skates yet, he has been working out.
