UPDATE SHL/NLA - As Ticinonews reports, SKA St. Petersburg's Patrick Thoresen is leaving the KHL next season - but not for Switzerland. The forward will be joining a team in the Swedish Hockey League, an official announcement is expected soon.

The Norwegian international was rumored to be on his way to HC Lugano during the past weeks, where he had already played during the 2008-09 season, scoring 21 goals and 48 assists in 55 appearances.

In the past season, the 31-year-old has played in 60 games for KHL team SKA St. Petersburg and was able to register 48 points. (lcu)

UPDATE It's official. Current KHL-Champion Patrick Thoresen leaves SKA St.Petersburg in direction of Sweden, where he has signed a two-year contract with Djurgårdens IF, as the SHL-club announces on their website. (rlu) - 22 April 2015, 5:02 PM
