Olympic Games

Roman Červenka (Rapperswil), Jan Kovář (Zug), Matej Stránský (Davos), and Michael Frolik (Lausanne) have all been nominated for the Olympics.

This afternoon, Petr Nedvěd, general manager of the Czech national team, as well as head coach Filip Pešán and his staff have announced 24 players that they have chosen to represent their country in Beijing in February.

Of those players, Roman Červenka and Jan Kovář are the most experienced, having played 157 and 142 games in the jersey of the Czech national team. They are also the top goal scorers on the Olympic team with 40 and 36 goals, respectively.

Whereas Červenka and Kovář have already played at the Olympics in their careers, it will be a premiere for HC Davos' Matej Stránský and Lausanne HC's Michael Frolik.
