If National League or Swiss League teams thus form new women's teams, the teams will be able to start in the SWHL-B, the second-highest tier in women's hockey. They will only be able to play in the Women's League if they win the League Qualification.

"The possibility of direct entry by a National League or Swiss League club into the second-highest league means that the path taken by Swiss Ice Hockey in promoting women's ice hockey can continue," Patrick Bloch, CEO of Swiss Ice Hockey, states.
