The two defenders return to Switzerland from North America to reinforce the SWHL A-finalist for next season.

A new face and a returning one for the Lions

Livia Altman was already part of the ZSC Lions from 2012 to 2016 before leaving to play for Colgate University in Hamilton, New York. There, the blueliner made 103 appearances in the NCAA over the span of three years.

Now the 24-year-old returns to Zurich for the next season. She is also a constant part of the Swiss women's national team, captaining them since 2015.

The second addition, Dominique Scheurer, also joins from a university team, namely the Grant MacEwan University Griffins, who are located in Edmonton, Canada and play in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference.

Scheurer, 23, was with the Griffins for five years, playing 112 games for them. Prior to her university time, the defender spent multiple seasons in the SWHL A, playing for HC Université Neuchâtel Dames, EV Bomo Thun and DHC Langenthal.
