As Cyrille Pasche reports (Sport-Center, published on Le Matin), the SIHF has, however, not yet made a decision about the host cities for the tournament., but they have received eight to nine bids from Swiss cities.
"We have received several applications and we will make a decision before the end of the year," Patrick Bloch, CEO of SIHF, states. "We would like the whole country to be involved, but it is not yet certain that we will go for a joint German and Romand bid."
The 2020 IIHF World Championship was supposed to take place in Zürich and in Lausanne. The tournament then was canceled due to Covid-19.
