The Germans will hold four practice sessions in Nürnberg before heading to Slovakia for two exhibition games which will take place next weekend. After those games, they will return to Germany to continue their preparation for the World Championship.
While Tobias Fohrler has already suited up for the national team on the pro level, he has yet to play in a major tournament with the team. The 23-year-old defenseman recorded three goals and five assists in 46 games for HC Ambrì-Piotta this season.
