HC Villars will not be competing for this trophy this season

HC Villars recently announced that they will not participate in the upcoming Regio League season and also withdraw from their spot in the Round of 32 of the Swiss Ice Hockey Cup.
Their opponent, Genève-Servette HC, will thus face a different team, namely EHC Saastal. They were randomly drawn out of a group of the three losing teams from the last qualification round for the Cup in Western Switzerland (the other two being HC St-Imier and HC Franches-Montagnes).
