Medical Report

After the forward broke his foot at the World Championship, he is travelling back to Switzerland to undergo surgery as soon as possible.

Tristan Scherwey is optimistic that he is going to be ready, when the first puck of the 2022-23 season drops in fall: "It's a fracture, but I've heard positive things," he says to the Tages-Anzeiger. "They say it's a clean fracture, it could have been worse. I should be okay for the start of the season."

SC Bern would have allowed Scherwey to stay in Finland with the team, but he decided against it: "My heart is bleeding. I don't like leaving this team at all. But I know I'm doing it for a good reason. It's the right decision."
