Wellman off to China
The SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers already confirmed at the beginning of April that Casey Wellman would not return to the National League team for a third season.
In February, the Lakers wanted to transfer Wellman to SC Bern, as they had acquired Tom Pyatt from Skellefteå AIK. The deal was closed but eventually fell through because the forward did not pass SCB's medical test.
The American joined the Lakers in 2018. Last season, he recorded nine goals and 13 assists in 24 regular-season games for them.
