After a historical season in Sweden, Lara Stalder was crowned by SIHF today.

"It's a big honor for me and it is a motivation to keep going", Stalder says in a video on the SIHF's YouTube channel. She earned herself the "Woman of the Year" award with an outstanding season with Brynäs IF, setting a new all-time record by recording 82 points in a single season. She also was named the MVP of the SDHL.

"She is a great athlete on and off the ice", Colin Muller, head coach of the Swiss national team, says. "She really deserved this Woman of the Year award."

Besides Stalder, Goaltender Andrea Brändli and forward Alina Müller were nominated for the award.
