The National Council and the Council of States have found an agreement concerning the à-fonds-perdu contributions for sports clubs.

Thanks to the new solution, sports clubs who do not reduce the salaries of their players will be compensated for half of the loss in ticket revenue this season, the news agency Keystone-SDA reports. For those clubs, however, who will reduce their top salaries (above of CHF 148,200) by 20 per cent will receive à-fonds-perdu contributions amounting to two-thirds of the loss in ticket revenue.

So far, eleven of the twelve National League teams have already applied for à-fonds-perdu contributions. Only Lausanne HC announced that they do not intend to make use of this option.
