Recently put on waivers by the WHL's Winnipeg ICE, Maximilian Streule has been acquired by a different CHL-team. The Blainville-Boisbriand Armada from the QMJHL will be the Swiss defenseman's next station.

A former member of the ZSC Lions' youth department, Streule was selected 65th overall by Winnipeg in the CHL Import draft in 2021 and subsequently moved overseas.

The 19-year-old is expected to make his first game for the Armada when they face the Chicoutimi Saguenéens tonight.
