The Everett Silvertips have signed the ZSC Lions' Tim Metzger, 17, to a standard player agreement. "I was really impressed by his size and his work ethic,” praised Silvertips European scout Alessandro Benin. “He has had a lot of success in Zürich at the U-17 level. With time and effort put in with James Jensen, I am sure he will be able to develop into a solid WHL goalie.”
Italian forward Tommaso De Luca, who is a product of HC Ambrì-Piotta's organization, agreed to a standard player agreement with the Spokane Chiefs. "His creativity and sense for the game, along with his pro mindset, will be a great addition to the organization," Chiefs General Manager Matt Bardsley said.
