According to TVA's Renaud Lavoie, the American forward has agreed on a one-year two-way contract with the Devils.

In the past three seasons, Brian Flynn suited up in Switzerland for EV Zug and HC Ambrì-Piotta. Now, he is moving back to the US and join Swiss players Nico Hischier and Jonas Siegenthaler in New Jersey. According to Lavoie, his deal is worth $750,000 ($280,000 in case he gets sent to the Utica Comets in the AHL).

Last season, Brian Flynn appeared in all 50 regular season games with HC Ambrì-Piotta. He scored nine goals and added 25 assists. With his 34 points in total, he was Ambrì's second best scorer behind Austrian forward Dominic Zwerger (37 points).
