As per his agent Georges Müller, the negotiations between the two parties did not lead anywhere. It seems like the Chicago Blackhawks were not willing to meet the asking price of Suter's camp. The forward will thus hit free agency come Wednesday.
Suter, who started the season in Switzerland, played his first-ever NHL season this past year. In 55 games for the Chicago Blackhawks, he recorded 14 goals and 13 assists.
