Provided everything goes according to the NHL's plans, training camps around the league are scheduled to open on July 10. According to Ben Kuzma (Vancouver Province/Sun), Sven Bärtschi has been invited to the camp.

Bärtschi's agent, André Rufener, asked the Canucks to trade his client before the trade deadline back in February. Alas, nothing did come of it. The Swiss forward will now once again get a chance to make the roster of the Canucks, provided, of course, the NHL will move to the next phase of their "return to play"-plan.

Bärtschi was sidelined for the majority of the 2018-19 season due to a concussion and only got to play in six games for the Canucks this season. He had, however, a good season in the AHL, posting 13 goals and 33 assists.
