Janett was loaned by EHC Kloten to HC Thurgau in June as an addition for the entire 2021-22 season. The goaltender will thus now be officially under contract with HCT as of the upcoming season. Janett has appeared in 14 games for the Lions this season, posting a .918 save percentage.
Rüegger, for his part, has been part of HC Thurgau's organization since 2020. The 21-year-old suited up in eleven games for the Lions this season, posting a .898 save percentage.
HC Thurgau also announced that they have extended the contract of the goaltending coach Karl Malmquist. He, too, has signed a one-year deal with the Swiss League team.
