EHC Winterthur has signed Mathieu Pompei.

Mathieu Pompei is EHC Winterthur's second import-player for the upcoming season besides forward Matt Wilkins. "With him, we were able to find the playmaker we were looking for," EHCW's team manager Mario Antonelli says. "With his attitude and leadership, he can definitely help our young team."
For the past four seasons, Pompei has played in the DEL2, Germany's second-highest league. Three of them, he spent with the Towerstars, interrupted only with a one-season stint with EV Landshut in 2019-20. Last season, he recorded 43 points (eleven goals) in 44 games for Ravensburg.
