EHC Olten's team manager Marc Grieder is busy shaping his roster for the 2021-22 season. One of the pieces he might add is Florian Schmuckli.

Schmuckli and HC Thurgau recently announced that they had decided to part ways. According to the Oltner Tagblatt, there are rumblings that the 27-year-old defenseman has already found his new employer for the upcoming season in EHC Olten.

Grieder is also trying to acquire EHC Kloten's David Stämpfli who already suited up in 13 games for Olten this season. As for their current defensive squad, it looks like Philipp Rytz might not be able to stay with the Mice.

Diego Schwarzenbach might also not get a contract extension. Apparently, there are rumors that EHC Basel is interested in the forward. EHC Olten would, however, like to keep Stanislav Horanský. The interest seems to be mutual, but they will have to find common ground on the financial side of things.

Grieder has apparently also already agreed to terms with a "winger that is currently busy in the National League playoffs." The deal will, however, be announced at a later point in time.
