What Klaus Zaugg already reported on Watson earlier today has now been confirmed by the club. EHC Kloten has signed Dominic Nyffeler to a one-year extension, keeping him around until 2022. The goalie has been part of Kloten since last summer, when he joined the club after two seasons with HC Ajoie.

Nyffeler has made 32 games for Kloten so far, posting a .918 save percentage as well as a 1.92 goals-against average.

The Swiss League team has also extended the contract of the Swede Robin Figren for one year. Having joined them from the SHL's HV71, the 31-year-old has suited up 29 times so far this season, recording 14 goals and 20 assists.

In addition to players, Kloten will keep around assistant coach Björn Lidström for an additional year.

To come back to Zaugg's article, he also reports on some changes that will be done in the club's youth department. Due to financial reasons, the budget will be cut by about ten percent and there will be personnel changes. Managing director Gérard Bouvard will be let go, junior coaches Beat Lautenschlager and Thomi Derungs will likely also leave. Due to the departures, retiring Kloten-player Romano Lemm might get a coaching job in the organization.
