Montandon, who most recently played with HC Ajoie, brings along an overall experience of 14 National League games with Bern, Fribourg, Langnau and Biel (three points) as well as 388 games (60 goals, 105 assists) with several Swiss League teams.
With the Ajoulots last season, the forward managed to record eight goals and 15 assists in a total of 48 games. He will be at the disposal of HC Sierre's coach Dany Gelinas for Sunday's home game against Olten.
