Swiss League

The defenseman did not want to comment on the subject, but, according to Le Matin, he will indeed play for the Swiss League team.

Bezina is supposed to join his new teammates on Friday for a two-day survival trip set up by head coach Dany Gelinas. He has apparently signed a one-year deal with the team.

RTS's Marc-André Berset already reported in early July that the former Genève-Servette HC defenseman will suit up for Sierre in the 2019-20 season and then join GSHC's back office as of the 2020-21 season. Le Matin reiterates Berset's claim and adds that Bezina has "obtained a guarantee" by the Grenats that he will get a position in the organization.

Bezina had been part of GSHC since 2004, when he returned to Switzerland after three seasons in North America. His fifteen years in Geneva were only interrupted by a short stint in the KHL with Medveščak Zagreb in the 2016-17 season.
