With 64 points (25 goals) in 60 games and his contract with HPK ending soon, Michael Joly has surely gathered the interest of several teams. According to Corriere del Ticino, the Canadian 27-year-old forward is expected to continue his career in Lugano. Currently, HC Lugano has four imports under contract for the upcoming season.

After his junior years in the QMJHL, Joly spent five years in North America splitting time in the AHL and in the ECHL. In 2021, Joly joined HPK in the Liiga, scoring 46 goals and putting up 68 assists in 120 games ever since.
