A month ago, HockeyNews.se reported interest in Joakim Nordström from Swiss teams. HC Davos has apparently come out on top. They have announced the signing of the forward until 2024.

"Joakim is a versatile forward and will also be able to set crucial accents in the Davos offense with his physical presence", team manager Jan Alston states. "With his bulging backpack of experience from various hockey cultures, he brings a lot of know-how and leadership to our locker room."

Throughout his career, the 30-year-old Swede has made 490 games in the NHL and 94 in the AHL for various organizations. Prior to going overseas, he also made 112 appearances in the SHL. This past season, he bought himself out of his contract in early March.
