Herren has been loaned to HC Lugano in mid-November. Christian Dubé did no longer count on the forward but was only willing to let him go if he found a trading partner. While Dubé found a solution with HC Lugano for this season, Herren still has one year left on his contract.
Asked by La Liberté whether Petr Svoboda could envision a return of Yannick Herren to Lausanne HC, Svoboda had a clear answer ready: "No, Yannick is not a bad forward, but I don't have a spot for him."
Herren has appeared in two games for HC Lugano since his arrival. He has, however, been out of the lineup since he broke his ulna in a game against... Lausanne HC on November 20.
