According to the Berner Zeitung, Robert Mayer will likely leave the SCL Tigers at the end of January. Due to the Tigers' willingness to participate at the Spengler Cup, HC Davos would have apparently been ready to accommodate the Tigers financially so that Mayer can stay until the end of the season.
However, with the tournament not taking place that seems unlikely now. Robert Mayer has appeared in 19 games for the Tigers this season, posting .903 save percentage.
