With strict financial restrictions in place, the two clubs are still trying to complete their roster.

Ben Maxwell to prolong his stay in the Emmental?

For the moment, the SCL Tigers only have one import-player, Robbie Earl ((USA)), under contract for the upcoming season. According to Watson, team manager Marc Eichmann has resumed talks with Ben Maxwell ((CAN)) in order to extend his contract. This past season, the 32-year-old was the third-best scorer of the team.

In addition to Maxwell, as the same source reports, if the economic situation eases, Eichmann will even be allowed to sign a third foreigner. He is reportedly looking for another center. Watson mentions the name of Joonas Nättinen ((FIN)) as the ideal reinforcement for the Tigers. The Finn last played in the KHL with Vityaz Podolsk, recording 21 points in 50 games.

As for SC Bern, it appears that Alex Chatelain, former team manager of the Bears and now strategic sports director and head scout, has been gathering information on Vinni Lettieri ((USA)). The right-handed right winger from Minnesota has been part of the New York Rangers' organization for the last three years. Last season, the 25-year-old suited up 61 times for the AHL-affiliate of the Rangers, the Hartford Wolf Pack, collecting 47 points.
