As he tells the Freiburger Nachrichten, he is still in contact with HC Fribourg-Gottéron's team manager Christian Dubé, but as long as it is not clear when hockey will return and if spectators will be allowed, Dubé cannot make a decision on Lauper's future.

He also was in discussions with Swiss League teams like the HCB Ticino Rockets: "I am open to anything and after all, I'm not that expensive." While he says that he would prefer to stay in the NL, he also adds that the Rockets might prove to be an interesting opportunity for him.

Adrien Lauper returned to the Dragons last year after a five-year stint with HC Ambrì-Piotta. In 45 games in the 2019-20 season, he recorded two goals and two assists.
